Student Driving Opportunities
When you think of trucking companies that hire inexperienced drivers Shaffer Trucking may not come to mind. We have always been known as a company of experienced drivers, however, if you have attended one of the truck driving programs we recognize or have a minimum 6 months experience we have a program that may fit you. If you are looking for a stable company to start your new career, why not go where experienced drivers go.

Our Approved Schools  Browse Schools
There are many driving schools, and we have hand-selected some of the top, accredited driving schools in the country. There are numerous requirements that must be met to be one of our approved schools. Experienced Trainers
Our training program is just that, a training program. Safety is first and foremost. That means the training is 1 on 1 and your trainer will be right there to answer any questions you may have. All of our trainers have at least 3 years over the road experience. This means they will have many years of  knowledge and road experience to help you be successful.

Compensation Package
We offer our students $500/week while training, and when training concludes we also offer a higher rate of pay of either $.34 or $.35 per practical mile for your first year.

No Team Driving
Our specialized training program does not allow for 24 hour team driving.  We feel this type of operation does not allow for the hands on supervised training that we feel our students deserve. This supervised training helps sets Crete Carrier's training apart from others.
